I am so thankful I finally embraced summer, well summer at home that is—I never really had a problem embracing summer in Athens.

Being up at school during May and June was such a great time. I studied during the day, went out at night…

Unfortunately once my Kaplan course ended and the LSAT was over, I really did not have a legitimate reason for staying in Athens:

#1) I did not have a place to live.

#2) I did not need to take summer class.

#3) And I did not have any money…

So, back to Alpharetta I went. And being in my self-centered, in-college-all-I-have-to-do-is-worry-about-myself  state-of-mind, I pouted for about a week.  And then I remembered how relaxing and nice it is to be at home with my family and how much I absolutely LOVE babysitting for the Carlson family.

… I miss Athens and all its fun, but at the same time, I wouldn’t trade a single night I’ve gotten to spend with my sister for a drunken one downtown. “Does that make sense?!” <—(haha inside joke with the Noodle :-)).

It has been a great summer. I look forward to moving back up to school in August, but for now– let’s just say I’m having a good time!
